KUER's flagship daily talk show, "RadioWest," is moving to a new time slot in the new year.

The show, now airing at 11 a.m. Mountain time on KUER 90.1 FM, will move to 9 a.m. starting on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

The move was precipitated by the retirement of longtime NPR host Diane Rehm, whose show has aired at that hour. KUER conducted a listener survey this fall, and an overwhelming number of respondents supported the move for "RadioWest."

After "RadioWest" airs at 9 a.m., the national NPR show "Here & Now" will continue to air at 10 a.m., followed by Rehm's replacement, "1A," airing at 11 a.m. (except on Fridays, when "1A" will air from 10 a.m. to noon, reprising Rehm's popular week-in-review format).

The rebroadcast of "RadioWest" will continue in its 7 p.m. time slot.
