• The 32nd annual Christmas Carole Sing-Along happens at Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. The West Valley Symphony of Utah performs, with music director Donny Gilbert and guest conductor Sterling Poulson. Also performing: Jenny Oaks Baker & Family Four (the violinist's four children). The event starts at 7. Free.

• Comedian Tig Notaro performs at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $36, at Ticketfly and Smith's Tix.

• "Cinematic pop" trio Gentri performs its holiday show, "Finding Christmas," at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. The trio is accompanied by the American Heritage Lyceum Philharmonic. Opening: Lexi Walker. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets, from $29.50 to $150, via ArtSaltLake.
