It wouldn't be Christmas, apparently, without an appearance from Utah's own elf-sized music sensation, David Archuleta.

The 2008 "American Idol" runner-up will headline "DAC the Halls," the annual series of Christmas concerts put on by the Davis Arts Council.

Opening the show is singer-songwriter Nathan Pacheco, who also has Utah ties as a Brigham Young University graduate.

Archuleta and Pacheco (who also has Utah ties, having graduated from Brigham Young University) teamed up last year for a cover of the Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli duet "The Prayer."

"DAC The Halls" will be performed Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 10, at 2 and 7 p.m. All shows will be held in the auditorium of Layton High School, 440 Wasatch Dr., Layton.

Tickets, ranging from $25 to $60, go on sale today at the council's website.
