If you are a young filmmaker, between 18 and 24, with something to say, the Sundance Institute wants to hear it.

Sundance and Adobe's Project 1324 have teamed up for a filmmaking contest, to find 15 young filmmakers to become Fellows in the Sundance Ignite program — which includes yearlong mentorship and a trip to the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

Filmmakers are invited to submit original short works, between 1 and 8 minutes long, that explore the theme "What's Next?" Films can be submitted online, before the deadline of Sept. 26.

A panel of peer judges will select 25 finalists, who will be asked to submit a grant application to the Sundance Institute. From those applicants, 15 will be chosen by Sundance staff and alumni filmmakers for the Ignite fellowships.

To read the contest rules, eligibility requirements, judging criteria and other information —including examples of past work — go to the Ignite website.
