Utahns do like their clean comedians.

Comic, author, actor and TV star Jim Gaffigan — known for routines about his family life and Hot Pockets — has nearly sold out his Dec. 2 concert at Vivint Smart Home Arena. So he has booked a second show, set for the following Friday, Dec. 9, also at The Viv.

(This follows in the footsteps of Brian Regan, who once sold out 10 straight shows at Abravanel Hall and has since done back-to-back nights at The Viv.)

Tickets for Gaffigan's second show — priced from $36.75 to $56.75 — go on sale Friday, 10 a.m., at Smith's Tix. (Presale tickets are available now, on Gaffigan's website.) Also, there are still a few tickets available for the Dec. 2 show, also at Smith's Tix.
