• The fourth Salt Lake Comic Con begins its three-day run today, at Salt Palace Convention Center, 100 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City. The first two celebrity appearances — Mark Hamill at 11 a.m., and William Shatner at 12:15 p.m. — will be at Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. • Indie soul/pop band Fitz & The Tantrums closes out the 2016 Twilight Concert Series, at Pioneer Park, 300 South and 300 West, Salt Lake City. Opening: Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Show starts at 7; gates open at 5. Tickets are $10, at the door.
