It's a busy day for Blink-182: Dropping a new single, and announcing an upcoming new album and a summer tour — including a stop in Utah.

The pop-punk band Blink-182 will bring its tour to Usana Amphitheatre in West Valley City on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Founded in southern California in 1992, Blink-182 really took off in 1999, after drummer Travis Barker joined founding members Mark Hoppus (bass/vocals) and Tom DeLonge (guitar/vocals). That's when they started producing hit singles like "What's My Age Again?" and "All the Small Things."

The band went on hiatus in 2005, with DeLonge seeking more time off than his bandmates wanted. Meanwhile, Barker and Hoppus recorded separately — while Barker also dealt with the tempestuous relationship with former Miss USA Shanna Moakler (some of it chronicled on the MTV reality series "Meet the Barkers"). In 2008, Barker was one of two survivors of a small-plane crash that killed four people.

Blink-182 reunited for the 2009 Grammy Awards ceremony, and recorded the album "Neighborhoods" in 2011. Last year, DeLonge left the band, and as replaced by guitarist Matt Skiba for the new album "California," due to be released July 1. (The album's first single, "Bored to Death," debuted this morning.)

Post-hardcore band A Day to Remember and emo-pop/punk band All Time Low will open the Usana show.

Tickets for the Usana show will go on sale Friday, May 6, at 10 a.m. at Smith's Tix.
