It didn't take long for Red Butte Garden to sell out nearly half of its Summer Concert Series.

Tickets for 29 of the series' 30 shows went on sale online to Red Butte's 10,000 members Monday night. Within 10 minutes, Red Butte spokesperson Bryn Ramjoue said, three of the shows — Willie Nelson & Family (July 28), Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals (June 29) and Tears for Fears (July 6) — sold out.

Ten more shows also sold out by Tuesday, after ticket sales began in person at Red Butte:

• Last Summer on Earth Tour, with Barenaked Ladies, OMD and Howard Jones (July 13)

The Avett Brothers (July 26)

• Wheels of Soul 2016 Summer Tour, with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos and North Mississippi Allstars (Aug. 7)

Jackson Browne (Aug. 24)

Wilco (Aug. 30)

Bonnie Raitt (Sept. 11)

Goo Goo Dolls (Sept. 14)

Another show, the series' May 25 opener with The Lumineers, sold out weeks ago in a separate sale.

Ramjoue reported that the first day of sales went smoothly, with no technical glitches on Ticketfly, the website that handles Red Butte's ticket sales.

Ramjoue said there were three shows the Red Butte staff expected would sell out immediately but didn't: Culture Club (Aug. 8), Blondie (Sept. 7) and Kacey Musgraves (Sept. 8).

Nonmembers can start buying any remaining tickets online Monday, beginning at 9 a.m., also on Ticketfly, or at the garden box office.
