This week's Utah Crowd-Funding Project is a blast from the past.

What would happen if four bounty hunters switched to the more lucrative trade of treasure hunting? That's the story of "Relics," a comic book being created by Salt Lake City artist Anthony Woolf.

"Relics" follows four characters — Wulfstan, Theodar, Nod and Vivian — on their quest for an ancient relic at the top of the Daggertip Mountains. The treasure may be waiting for them there, but so is something dangerous.

Woolf aims to produce a top-quality comic series, so he needs materials, and a colorist, to bring it to life. He's also looking for money for printing and distribution of the inaugural issue.

Woolf has launched a crowd-funding campaign, via Kickstarter, to raise $5,500. So far, the campaign has raised $557. The deadline is May 1.

Benefits for backers range from a PDF preview of the first issue (for $1) to getting a portrait drawn with the four characters (for $150).
