Rihanna is touring the world in 2016 — and that includes Salt Lake City.

The Grammy-winning, platinum-selling superstar will perform Wednesday, April 27, at Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City.

The 27-year-old singer from Barbados has released seven albums in the last 10 years, producing such hits as "Umbrella," "Don't Stop the Music," "Only Girl (in the World)," "We Found Love," "Diamonds," "Stay" and "FourFiveSeconds." Her new album, "Anti," will hit stores on Friday.

She made her movie debut in "Battleship," provided one of the main voices in the animated film "Home," and has had cameos in "This Is the End" and "Annie."

Rihanna will launch the "Anti World Tour" on Feb. 26 in San Diego, the first of 36 stops in North America — culminating back in California with a May 7 show in Oakland. Then, from June 11 to August 12, she will tour Europe.

Rapper/singer Travis Scott is the opening act on North American dates.

Tickets for the Slat Lake City show go on sale Thursday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m., at Smith's Tix.
