The Dixie Chicks are still not ready to make nice, but they are ready to tour.

The platinum-selling, Grammy-winning country trio announced Monday that it will launch a 40-city concert tour next summer, starting June 1 in Cincinnati. Utah will get to see the band on its second-to-last tour stop, Friday, Sept. 2, at Usana Amphitheatre, 5150 S. 6055 West, West Valley City.

It's the first time in three years that The Dixie Chicks — made up of lead singer/guitarist Natalie Maines; Emily Robison on banjo, dobro and guitar; and Robison's sister, Martie Maguire on fiddle and mandolin — have toured North America.

The "DCX MMXVI" tour will come 10 years after The Dixie Chicks released their last studio album, "Taking the Long Way," which won the Grammy for Album of the Year. That album produced the Grammy-winning single "Not Ready to Make Nice," written in response to the huge conservative backlash after lead singer Natalie Maines spoke ill of President George W. Bush in 2003.

Tickets for The Dixie Chicks' show at Usana Amphitheatre — ranging from $29 to $125 — go on sale Friday, 10 a.m., at Smith's Tix.
