This week's Utah Crowd-Funding Project is for the casually chic.

Clothing designer Stephanie Santistevan-Swett was born in Utah, graduated from Brigham Young University, and is now a Ph.D student at Duke University. And she's busy.

"As a woman who wears many hats, I know how challenging it can be to find clothes that are comfortable and fashionable," Santistevan-Swett wrote in an announcement of her company, Eva Jo Rompers. "I started Eva Jo to create clothes that work for the whole day, however you romp."

Eva Jo Rompers are one-piece items, made of modal spandex, that combine a top and a pant — with a drawstring at the waist, so it's adjustable for any body type (even maternity).

Santistevan-Swett is launching a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter to put her rompers into production. The campaign has a goal of $22,000, and has already received $5,990 in pledges. The deadline is Oct. 22.

Benefits for backers range from a temporary tattoo (for $5) to a four-pack of rompers and a chance to name and design a future line of rompers (for $500).

Though Santistevan-Swett is in North Carolina with her doctoral studies, she is throwing a Kickstarter launch party, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Club Alison, 1644 S. State St., Provo.
