Some people are nerds, and some nerds are lucky enough to make a career out of it.

Chris Hardwick is one of these nerds.

Hardwick — comedian, TV host, podcaster and writer — will bring his "Funcomfortable" stand-up tour to Kingsbury Hall, on the University of Utah campus, on Friday, Nov. 6.

Hardwick is creative head for Nerdist Industries, which boasts a popular website, a YouTube channel with a million subscribers, and a podcast network headed by the Nerdist podcast — which averages more than 6 million downloads monthly.

Hardwick also is host of two TV series: The comedy game show "@Midnight" on Comedy Central, and AMC's "The Talking Dead," the live after-show to its zombie drama "The Walking Dead."

He's also a voice actor, with starring roles on "Sanjay and Craig" and "Back at the Barnyard."

Tickets for Hardwick's show at Kingsbury Hall are $35, and will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. at the Kingsbury website: Tickets.Utah.edu.
