Captain America is coming to Utah.

Salt Lake Comic Con announced a big "get" this morning: Chris Evans, who plays Marvel Comics' red-white-and-blue hero Captain America, has been booked for the comics convention, set for Sept. 24-26.

Evans will be appearing only on the final day, Sept. 26, convention organizers announced. A full schedule is forthcoming, and will be posted on Facebook.

Evans has portrayed Capt. Steve Rogers in two "Captain America" movies, two "Avengers" movies, and in cameos in "Thor: The Dark World" and "Ant-Man." His next one, "Captain America: Civil War," is now being filmed, and is set for release on May 6, 2016.

Evans also played Johnny Storm, "The Human Torch," in two "Fantastic Four" movies in 2005 and 2007. Other notable films on Evans' resume include "Not Another Teen Movie" (2001), "The Perfect Score" (2004), "Sunshine" (2007), "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" (2010) and "Snowpiercer" (2013).
