This week's Utah Crowd-Funding Project is for anyone who likes s'mores.

Frankie Allen of West Jordan is a college student with a dream: To create a a gourmet shop for s'mores.

"I want to share my love of these sweet treats with others while also giving them the experience of being together and having fun!," Allen writes.

To make this idea a reality, Allen is trying to raise $8,000 via Kickstarter. The campaign was launched over the weekend, and as yet has no backers.

Benefits for backers range from a s'mores kit (for a $25 pledge) to a one-year membership in a "s'more of the month" club (for $500).

If you have a crowd-funding project you'd like mentioned on The Cricket blog, email it to: spmeans@sltrib.com. Be sure to put "crowd funding" in the subject line.
