This week's Utah Crowd-Funding Project puts the power where you can find it.

Park City designer and inventor Andreas Hesse has developed something called Loop+ — a lanyard with a charging cord for your iPhone or Android phone incorporated into the strap.

The Loop+ comes with a metal loop, to attach your phone to the lanyard for easy carrying.

Hesse has taken to Kickstarter to raise $5,000 to put the Loop+ into full production. So far, the campaign has raised $2,009 in pledges. The deadline is July 16.

Benefits for backers range from a Loop+ lanyard (for $10) to 500 of the lanyards with your corporate logo printed on them (for $5,000).
