This week's Utah Crowd-Funding Project is for people who are into leather — but not like that.

Arman Oganov is a University of Utah student who has founded SchwayZ Apparel, which he bills as "an affordable gentlemen's quality apparel brand."

Among the company's first offerings are leather bow ties — in onyx (black) or tan — and a line of tie clips in a variety of colors. The SchwayZ website also offers tips for being a gentleman of style.

Oganov has launched a Kickstarter campaign to get the company moving forward. The campaign is seeking to raise $1,300. So far, the campaign has received $243. The deadline is May 12.

Benefits for backers include a bow tie (for $20) or a package including two bow ties and two tie clips (for $39).

If you have a crowd-funding project you'd like mentioned on The Cricket blog, email it to: spmeans@sltrib.com. Be sure to put "crowd funding" in the subject line.
