• Artist Ruby Chacón will talk about art and the Latino experience at an event in the ART Building, room 158, on the University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Chacón, a Salt Lake City native now living in Sacramento, will be in conversation with Jorge Rojas, director of education and engagement at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. The event is presented by the U.'s Department of Art and Art History and UMFA, in connection with UMFA's current exhibition, "Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art." The event starts at 5:30, and is free to the public.

• Pop-punk band Tigers Jaw performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening: Lemuria, Somos. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $17, at 24Tix.

• Detroit hip-hop producer/MC Curtis Cross, who goes by the stage name Black Milk, performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening: Street Jesus, Dine Krew. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $10, at Smith's Tix and 24Tix.
