Kelly Clarkson is coming back to Utah.

The chart-topping pop singer (and original "American Idol" winner) will bring her "2015 Piece By Piece Tour" to USANA Amphitheatre, 5150 W. 6055 South, West Valley City, on Saturday, Aug. 8.

Clarkson won a Grammy for best pop vocal album for her 2011 studio album, "Stronger," which produced the hits "Mr. Know It All" and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." Her other hits include "Miss Independent," "Since U Been Gone" and "My Life Would Suck Without You."

"Piece By Piece," her sixth studio album (seventh if you include her 2013 Christmas album, "Wrapped in Red"), was released last Friday, and generated the current single "Heartbeat Song" (the video for which can be seen above).

Clarkson has performed in Utah before, playing the Delta Center in 2004, Abravanel Hall in 2005, the Maverik Center in 2012 and headlining Provo's Stadium of Fire in 2013.

Opening for Clarkson on the tour are a capella sensation Pentatonix (who, by the way, is playing tonight at UCCU Center in Orem) and singer-songwriter Erick Hutchinson.

Tickets for Clarkson's USANA show go on sale Saturday, March 14, via Smith's Tix. Pre-sale tickets for Citi cardmembers start Tuesday, March 10.
