Jason Mraz is coming to Salt Lake City in March, in a smaller show than you might expect.

The Grammy-winning multi-platinum singer-songwriter is bypassing arenas and amphitheaters on his "Yes!" world tour, opting for more intimate venues. For his Salt Lake City stop, on Friday, March 13, that means booking Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City.

Mraz, who launched his career on the San Diego coffeehouse circuit, is known for such hits as the laid-back "I'm Yours" and the plaintive ballad "I Won't Give Up." His last album, "Yes!," was released in July and debuted at No. 2 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 chart.

On this tour, Mraz is performing acoustic with a backing group, the all-female folk-rock band Raining Jane.

Tickets for Mraz' Abravanel Hall show go on sale Friday, 10 a.m., via ArtTix and Smith's Tix.
