BYU's 2016 football schedule has been known for several months now — at least which 12 opponents will face the Cougars this fall — but on Tuesday the school announced its completion with one minor tweak.

The game between BYU and Boise State has been moved from Saturday, Oct. 22 to Thursday, Oct. 20.

The Cougars could get a small break that week because the weekend before, BYU plays host to Mississippi State on Friday, Oct. 14, while Boise State plays host to Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 15. BYU will have one more day to prepare than BSU.

It will be BYU's only Thursday game of the season. The Cougars play twice on Fridays — hosting Toledo on Sept. 30 along with the aforementioned MSU game.

In all, the Cougars will play teams from eight conferences — SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12, American, Mountain West, Mid-American and Big Sky — and fellow independent UMass. Ten teams on the 2016 schedule played in bowl games last year, and SUU of the Big Sky was an FCS playoff qualifier.

Opponents are from nine different states and were 90-51 last year.

Two of the games are at NFL stadiums — the Sept. 3 opener against Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., and FedEx Field in Landover, Md., against West Virginia.

BYU has a contract to play in the San Diego Country Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl following the season if it is bowl eligible (six wins) and is not selected to play in a College Football Playoff or a New Year's Six bowl game.

Here's the schedule:

Sept. 10 — at Utah

Sept. 17 — UCLA

Sept. 24 — vs. West Virginia at FedEx Field, Landover, Md.
