Strong season performances by Real Salt Lake defender Justen Glad and forward Brooks Lennon have landed them roster spots on the MLS Homegrown Team, a team made up of 18 of the league's most accomplish young stars.

This is Glad's third time appearing in the Homegrown Game and the first for MLS rookie Lennon.

"We are extremely proud of [Lennon] and [Glad] and the work they have put in to get recognized in the Homegrown games," RSL general manager Craig Waibel said in a statement. "Our youth development is a point of pride in the organization and to continue to have players earn spots in games lie this is confirmation in that emphasis."

After missing the first two months of the season due to injury, Glad has made an impact in his four matches played. He also helped the U.S. win its first ever title at the CONCACAF U-20 championships in March.

Lennon has one goal and one assist in 12 matches, 11 which were starts. He is on loan to RSL from Liverpool.

RSL is one of five teams with two or more players on the team. The MLS Homegrown Team will take on the Chivas de Guadalajara U-20 team in the fourth annual MLS Homegrown Game on August 1 at the Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill.
