"The Great British Baking Show" returns to PBS (Friday, 8 and 9 p.m., Ch. 7) in its original form.

This is the most recent season, which aired last fall in the U.K. and features judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood and hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. And only Hollywood will return for the next season, when the show switches channels in the U.K. (PBS has announced that it will air that season, too. Presumably — but not officially — next summer.)

Two episodes air this week — cakes in the first hour; biscuits in the second.
