That "Sharknado: The 4th Awakens" (Sunday, 9 p.m., Syfy) is extraordinarily stupid is not exactly news. All the "Sharknado" movies have been dumb.

They're getting dumber and less watchable as they go along, but that's to be expected, too.

It's not dumber and less watchable because Utah Gov. Gary Herbert makes a cameo appearance. But … it's also true that Herbert fits right in.

The fourth installment in the "Sharknado" franchise picks up five years after the devastation that occurred on the East Coast — but you know that's not going to last. The fact that the plot is incoherent doesn't really matter, because plot has never been a focus of these dopey TV movies.

• "Last Chance U" (Netflix): Six-part documentary series about junior college football players starts streaming.

• "Big Brother" (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Four "Battle Back" competitions take place, and the winner returns to the house.

• "Masters of Illusion" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Performers include Nathan Burton, Bill Cook, Chipper Lowell, Titou, Greg Gleason, Greg Frewin and Jason Bishop.

• "Best Friends Whenever" (9 p.m., Disney): Cyd and Shelby discover that Shelby's mom has been keeping a secret.

• "Girl Meets World" (9:30 p.m., Disney): Lucas must finally choose between Maya and Riley.

• "Killjoys" (10 p.m., Syfy): Johnny escorts Pawter home for a chilly family reunion.

• "Dark Matter" (11 p.m., Syfy): The Android goes undercover to help the Raza crew track down a familiar foe.

• "Rush Hour" (7 p.m, CBS/Ch. 2): Captain Cole enlists the help of Detectives Carter and Lee as she fears the return of a serial killer when a young woman's recent disappearance at a hotel believed to be haunted mirrors a series of chilling unsolved cases from five years ago

• "Heaven Sent" (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Skydiver/precision flyer Luke Aikins jumps from an airplane at 25,000 feet — with no parachute, no wing suit, nothing but the clothes on his back.

• "The American West" (11:10 p.m., AMC): Wyatt Earp abandons the law in search of justice; Jesse James is confronted by the Ford brothers. (Season finale)
