In its 12th season, the soap operate that is "Grey's Anatomy" just keeps chugging around.

If you haven't watched in a while, not much has changed. It's still all sorts of melodrama surrounding the doctors, along with weird medical cases involving the patients.

But the numbers are still good. "Grey's" is on track to finish the season as ABC's top-rated show in the all-important 18-49 demographic. It's also one of the top shows on TV in that demo.

Mostly because it has held onto its viewers, while other ABC series are fading.

And, as far as soap opera goes, the show is still pretty good. Surprisingly good. Far better than "Scandal," which has completely jumped the shark (and lost 17 percent of its audience); far better than "How to Get Away with Murder," which ran off the rails in its second season (and lost 30 percent of its viewers).

In tonight's episode, Callie and Arizona battle over Sofia's future; Stephanie questions the status of her relationship with Kyle.

Meanwhile, Alex and April work on a pregnant teen who is readmitted to Grey Sloan Memorial.
