ESPN released its list of top 300 national football recruits for the Class of 2017 on Wednesday, and four locals were included in the honor.

Bingham's defensive tackle and The Tribune's reigning Player of the Year Jay Tufele checked in at No. 85. ESPN considers Tufele, who has recorded 120 tackles and 16.5 sacks in two seasons despite receiving added attention seemingly every snap, a four-star prospect. Tufele is currently uncommitted.

Timpview safety Chaz Ah You, who recently transferred from Westlake, is ranked No. 217. Ah You was named to the All-Tribune team as an underclassman last season despite fighting the battle to remain healthy. Ah You, a four-star prospect, is currently uncommitted.

Brighton running back and linebacker Sione Lund, who transferred to Waterford for academic purposes but will continue to play for the Bengals, is ranked No. 252. Lund led Brighton in tackles for the second consecutive season, with 123, along with five sacks and 1,184 yards and 14 touchdowns on 113 carries last season. Lund, a four-star prospect, is committed to Stanford.

Bingham's defensive end Langi Tuifua wrapped up the local representation at No. 256. Tuifua led the Miners with 14.5 sacks last season. Considered a four-star recruit, Tuifua is pledged to play at Oregon.
