Holding Out Help, which has helped people leaving polygamous communities find lodging, work or get an education, is opening a new house in Draper.

The home, at 748 E. Pioneer Road (12400 South), was donated, according to a press release from Holding Out Help. It will get its debut at an open house 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Snacks and warm drinks will be served.

Holding Out Help is seeking donations, including donors to sponsor some of the rooms in the new home.

The organization's director, Tonia Tewell, said Holding Out Help is leaving the home it occupied in Colorado City, Ariz. A related organization, Grace Reigns Inc., will operate in that building and continue helping people who seek it.
