Boosters of the Utah State Fairpark were pinning hopes on a long-term lease and new soccer stadium to breathe new life into the cash-strapped property. But last week Real Salt Lake owner Dell Loy Hansen pulled the plug on his offer to build an 8,000-seat home for the Real Monarchs on the site. 

On Monday at 12:15 p.m., state Sen. Luz Escamilla, Utah State Fairpark Executive Director Michael Steele and Tribune reporter Chris Kamrani join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about why the deal failed and what the future of the Fairpark looks like.
