In the season premiere of "The Bachelor" (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4) Chris Soules meets the 30 women, including a couple from Utah – Michelle, 25, a wedding cake decorator from Provo; and Tandra, 30, an executive assistant from Sandy.

I'll admit that I don't understand the appeal of this show, given that even the seasons that end with a proposal don't result in marriage … but if you're watching it because it's dumb fun, well, I guess that makes sense.
