Ever see one of those calendars that lists a reason for a party on every date?

Well, you don't need a reason to hike every day. But if you're wondering where in Utah to hike, we can offer some suggestions — at least for certain dates. Click on the links to learn more about each trail.

• Groundhog Day, Feb. 2 — Beaver Creek Trail in the Uinta Mountains; 12 miles and 501 feet

• Valentine's Day, Feb. 14 — Red Butte Nature Trail in Salt Lake City; 4 miles and 568 feet

• President's Day, Feb. 16 — Washington Hollow near St. George, 12 miles and 800 feet^

• St. Patrick's Day, March 17 — Greens Basin Trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon; 2.9 miles and 1,000 feet

• Easter, April 5 — Lambs Canyon Trail in Lambs Canyon; 3.25 miles and 1,400 feet

• Earth Day, April 22 — Foreman Hollow Nature Trail near Heber City; 3.3 miles and 621 feet

• May Day, May 1 — The "M" in Morgan; 1.5 miles and 778 feet

• Cinco de Mayo, May 5 — Mexican Mountain to Spring Canyon in the San Rafael Swell, 18 miles and 730 feet*

• Mother's Day, May 10 — Lake Mary in Big Cottonwood Canyon; 4.2 miles and 900 feet

• Flag Day, June 14 — USA Bowl in Big Cottonwood Canyon; 3.4 miles and 1,300 feet

• Father's Day, June 21 — Hunters Canyon near Moab; 4 miles and 262 feet

• Independence Day, July 4 — Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon; 4 miles and 1,413 feet

• Pioneer Day, July 24 — Mormon Pioneer Trail in East Canyon; 4.5 miles and 494 feet

• Labor Day, Sept. 7 — Miners Trail in Emigration Canyon; 4.8 miles and 1,150 feet

• Columbus Day, Oct. 12 — The Hot Pots near Spanish Fork; 4.8 miles and 652 feet

• Halloween, Oct. 31 — Spooky Gulch in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument; 3 miles and 315 feet

• Thanksgiving, Nov. 26 — Gobblers Knob in Big Cottonwood Canyon; 8.4 miles and 3,092 feet

• Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 — Donkey Ridge Trail in Wasatch Mountain State Park; 3 miles and 515 feet

• Christmas, Dec. 25 — Angels Landing in Zion National Park, 4.5 miles and 1,500 feet
