Arizona State and USC ended up having to work hard for victories after dominating their games most of the way, but the Pac-12 is now 3-0 in bowls.  The conference's bowl schedule reaches the halfway mark Monday night with Stanford meeting Maryland in a virtual home game in the Foster Farms Bowl at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara (8 p.m. MST, ESPN).  The Cardinal looked like an underachieving team for much of this season, but delivered impressive performances against California and UCLA. With a line that has hovered around 14 points, Stanford is the biggest favorite of any team in a bowl game and should not have too much trouble with the Terrapins. Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan was brilliant against UCLA and will be a key figure in perhaps his last collegiate game. The pick: Stanford 31, Maryland 21. – Kurt Kragthorpe
