Hate it when Aunt Suzy's special Thanksgiving yams surprise ends up making everyone feel more than a little queasy? Or when Uncle Larry gets plastered at the dinner table and starts telling awkwardly embarrassing stories? If you live in Utah, you probably don't have to deal with such nightmarish scenarios on Turkey Day.

According to Estately, Utah is the fourth-best place to celebrate Thanksgiving. The national real estate search site used six criteria to make its determination (Utah's ranking are in parentheses):

1 • Likelihood of food poisoning (15th)

2 • Likelihood of realtives binge drinking (49th)

3 • Likelihood of political arguments at dinner (50th)

4 • Dietary restriction impacting meal quality (50th)

5 • Likelihood of favorite NFL team losing on Thanksgiving (7th)

6 • Likelihood of guests/cooks abandoning meal for Black Friday sale

Ohio won (or lost, really) the contest for being the most miserable place to celebrate Thanksgiving. Hawaii was the best place to do so — really, who can argue with palm trees and white sand as the backdrop to a turkey dinner?

Here's a list of how all 50 states fared:
