Erin Redd-Brandon graduated last season, and senior Bailey Bateman is due to do the same after this season.

Utah needed to reload at middle blocker, and they appear to have addressed that need with two signing day pickups: Bingham's Megan Boudreaux and Henderson, Nev.'s Berkeley Oblad.

"They are both great volleyball players with size, athleticism and skill," said head coach Beth Launiere, in a news release. "Both Berkeley and Megan are outstanding student-athletes and overall quality people."

Boudreaux stands 6'2 and is a three-year starter for the Miners. Launiere said in the release that she's athletic, long and hard-working.

Oblad is 6-foot-4 — she would be Utah's tallest player at the moment — and was named an Under Armour High School Second Team All-American.

"She is a big, strong athlete able to play both the middle and the outside hitter/right side positions," Launiere said.
