Lt. Nathan Hutchinson from the Weber County Sheriff's Office who was awarded the State and Local Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery Award on Tuesday, keeps a pin on his tie with the image of officer Jared Francom who was killed the night that he acted heroically.
On Jan. 4, 2012, Hutchinson responded to the extremely dangerous and violent confrontation that took place between a suspect and members of the Weber Morgan Narcotic Strike Force that were attempting to execute a knock-and-announce search warrant in Ogden. In the shootout that ensued Hutchinson physically dragged agent Kasey Burrell out of the home safely despite being fired upon and being wounded. Read more<
