Luke French limited Salt Lake to 1 run on four hits through 61/3 innings to win his second game of the season sand the Tacoma Rainiers got 2 RBIs from Jack Hannahan and Tommy Everidge to defeat the Salt Lake Bees 6-1 on Saturday night at Cheney Stadium.

Bees starter Sean O'Sullivan was knocked around allowing five of the Rainiers' six runs to suffer his second loss of the season against one win.

Pinch hitter Hainley Statia knocked in the Bees' only run with a single in the seventh inning to plate Hank Conger, who doubled to lead off the inning.

The Bees fall to 7-9 on the season with the loss and will play three more games at Tacoma before returning home to begin a four-game series with Portland.

French allowed four of the Bees' five hits and was taken out after Statia's hit in the seventh. Brian Sweeney replaced French and struck out three batters and only one hit while recording four outs.
