Utah history, hand-crafted gifts all part of Christmas at the Homestead festivities

Cedar City’s Frontier Homestead State Park will hold its annual Christmas Market and Festival starting Monday.

The park is partnering with the Utah Shakespeare Festival for the Christmas at the Homestead festivities, which will run Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is $5 per family.

“Christmas at the Homestead gives us a chance to celebrate our rich heritage, give something back to the community and offer an exceptional shopping experience during the Holiday Market,” said park manager Todd Prince.

The Holiday Market will be held Dec. 8 from 11 a.m to 8 p.m. and Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the Dec. 8 market is included in the Christmas at the Homestead price, while the cost Dec. 9 is $1 per person.

The festivities will feature crafts, special lighting, Santa, specialty Christmas trees and free hot chocolate, popcorn and baked treats, and live entertainment. The Holiday Market will include more than 30 artists offering handcrafted gifts for sale.

The park is at 635 N. Main St. in Cedar City. For information, visit www.frontierhomestead.org.
