The Village Baker has opened its fourth Utah store in downtown Salt Lake City adjacent to the Eccles Theater.

The locally owned eatery specializes in sandwiches, salads, soups, gourmet pizzas, breakfast items and baked goods, including cakes, cookies and loaves of bread.

While it only has a few inside tables — and some patio seats — the street-level location in the new 111 business building has made it a popular spot for downtown workers to grab lunch to go.

The shop offers advance ordering through an iPhone app or through its website: villagebakerfood.com.

Village Baker's other stores are in West Jordan, Sandy and Lehi, with another one expected at The District in South Jordan later this year.
