David Archuleta is leading the charge to become this season's "American Idol." Another poll, this time from Reuters, shows that the 17-year-old Murray High School junior has amassed 40 percent of votes asking who would likely win the competition. The other David, David Cook, was in second.

Meanwhile, TV Guide has been running its own weekly poll, which has Cook leading the pack and Archuleta in second for the last three weeks.

Conventional wisdom right now says both Davids will be fighting it out to the end when the finale airs in late May.
