Sister Dottie returns -- again

Sister Dottie, the Mormon housewife from Spanish Fork with a gay son, returns to the stage for three performances. Charles Lynn Frost, who created the character on a KRCL radio show, will perform "The Passion of Dottie S. Dixon: Second Helpings," after its run was cut short in October by the actor's bout with H1N1.

Working miracles

A production of "The Miracle Worker," the story of the young Helen Keller, who is blind and deaf, and her relationship with teacher Anne Sullivan, opens at Perry's Heritage Theatre. The production is directed by Caren Jones McKay.

Welcoming Eden

"Farewell To Eden," by Utah playwright Mahonri Stewart, and directed by Kathryn Laycock Little, will be revived by the newly established Zion Theatre Company. The play tells the story of Georgiana Highett and her siblings Thomas and Catherine, living in Victorian England, 1840. This is the first production of the play since Utah Valley University's premiere production won awards at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival six years ago.
