A show with a cause

Midvale's Main Street Theatre is producing art for a cause, donating 10 percent of proceeds from its run of "Steel Magnolias" to prevent child abuse. The play tells the intimate story of a group of Southern women who frequent Truvy's Beauty Parlor in northwest Louisiana.

"Annie," multiplied by three

South Jordan Community Theatre presents the musical "Annie," featuring three casts and 80 children, to open its second season. The orphans are divided into three casts. Last season the theater produced four shows with 600 cast members, 300 of them children. "Lunch with Annie" is scheduled Nov. 14 and 21 at 10 a.m. to noon for children ages 4 to 12. Space is limited to 50.
