Vietnamese artist Dinh Y Nhi, whose work is part of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts "Changing Identity" exhibit, will give a presentation on her work and the status of women's art in her country in the postwar generation. Curator Nora Taylor will also participate in the presentation. The talk is part of a series of lectures to be given by participating artists during the run of the show. The lecture is free.

Phantastic art for adults
Southern Utah University presents a discussion by photographer Kyle Peterson as part of its continuing Art Insights Series and in conjunction with the spirit of Halloween. The talk will focus on Peterson's Phantasm Series, in which Peterson explores the psyche through blurred photographic images. Petersen is a recent graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design and currently an adjunct photography professor at SUU.

Russian artist
The work of Anna Vilenskaja, a Russian impressionist painter, is on exhibit in Springville. The show, "Anna Vilenskaja: In the Akademichka Dacha Tradition," runs through the month. Then the artist will have 30 works hang in two Park City galleries. There are two receptions in the artist's honor: the first at Springville and the second in Park City.
