Crystal Clear Window Works USA, a company that restores insulating glass units, has launched a new franchise serving Park City, Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. The Summit Group, a communications agency with offices in Utah, has won three SUBWAY Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust Excellence Awards and was a finalist in six of the eight categories. The group's winning programs include: Best Sports Promotion, "Fresh Start Eat & Exercise Smart" partnership with the Seattle Seahawks; Best Television Creative, "Jared & Friends" and Best Health Promotion, "Food Feud" partnership with Utah's first lady Mary Kaye Huntsman's Power in You organization.

The American Concrete Institute recognized Ogden-based Jack B. Parson Cos., a subsidiary of Staker & Parson Cos., with six "Awards for Excellence in Concrete Construction" for projects completed in 2006.

The Utah Chapter of the Associated General Contractors was recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America with the J. Howard Mock Membership Growth & Retention Award. The award is given to the state chapter with the greatest increase in net membership growth for all categories: general contractors, specialty contractors and supplier/service provider.
