It is critical for all isolated members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - the women and children, especially - to see and understand that there are good people here on "the outside." Opening their eyes to this fact can only help inoculate them against any fear tactics used by some within their group to maintain control. It reminds me of M. Night Shyamalan's movie "The Village" that explored an insular 1897 town and the collective fears of its members.
How good a job are we on the outside doing to show these people that we're not all clueless, callous or heartless monsters?
