As we have all seen from TV interviews, and the Miss Teen USA Pageant, answering questions under pressure can make people say things that can be taken wrong or put into the wrong context. While Mitt Romney is surely more adept at thinking on his feet, he could easily fall into similar traps.
The United States as a whole does not fully understand the concepts of the LDS Church. This causes more skepticism than is directed at better-known and better-understood denominations. If Mitt Romney were to delve into the religious debate, questions regarding polygamy, secret temple marriages and horns would be at the top of the list for questioning journalists.
No matter how he attempted to answer these stereotypical questions, answers could be easily taken out of proper context, while issues of war, poverty, health care and education would not even be printed. If Mitt Romney were to focus more on the issues that affect the daily lives of American citizens, it would show his loyalty and commitment to the welfare of the nation.
