Our family, like Bill Dineen ("Bravo, UTA," Forum, Aug. 30), is having the same kind of wonderment over Utah Transit Authority's propaganda about the faster and easier "new system."
We live in the Canyon Rim portion of the valley where we now have to walk or bike a mile each way to the nearest bus stop. As a matter of fact, our daughter now has to walk or bike an additional mile each way to and from work when before, she and the rest of the family had only to walk or bike two blocks each way.
I am just glad we were not one of the families who bought a home based on easy access to public transportation; this is another failed program of UTA.
