Should be honored

I applaud Helen Radkey for her dedicated work in exposing the names of those who have been inappropriately baptized posthumously by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Who is Helen Radkey and why is she out to get the LDS Church?" Tribune , Dec. 5). I am appalled at the continuing degradation of baptizing into another religion Jewish Holocaust victims who died for and because of their faith. I am astonished at the lack of respect for Roman Catholic saints, such as the unmarried Father Damien, who was "sealed" to a wife by proxy in an LDS ritual.

Radkey should be honored for her tireless efforts to eliminate inappropriate baptisms for the dead and provide a voice for the deceased, who cannot speak up for themselves.
