Traci Wright, 42, entered her pleas in 4th District Court, according to court records.
Wright is charged with 13 counts of forgery, 13 counts of misusing public funds and one count of theft. The forgery charges are third-degree felonies, while the misuse and theft charges are second-degree felonies, punishable by one to 15 years in prison, and up to $10,000 in fines.
Earlier, Genola Mayor Eric Hazelet said Wright allegedly embezzled $240,000 since 2001. Wright resigned in August 2007 after being placed on administrative leave. Hazelet said the Utah County town will try to get the money back.
Wright is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 5 before Judge Steven L. Hansen.
Attempts to contact Wright's attorney, Douglas J. Nielsen, were not successful.
