A Ford Explorer rolled, injuring four people traveling on Interstate 15 near the border of Box Elder and Weber counties Saturday afternoon.

The vehicle was northbound on I-15 when it blew a tire about 4:20 p.m., said Jeff Nigbur, a spokesman for the Utah Department of Public Safety. The driver of the vehicle overcorrected to try to steer the SUV back onto the roadway, Nigbur said.

The vehicle ended up rolling into a center median three times before crossing over a cable in the center of the roadway.

A man in the SUV was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden with minor injuries. A 63-year-old woman was flown by helicopter to Ogden Regional Medical Center. A 14-year-old and 11-year-old were transported by ambulance to Ogden Regional, Nigbur said.

An updated condition report was not available late Saturday. All the passengers were wearing seat belts.

The Utah Highway Patrol closed the southbound lanes of I-15 for about an hour, Nigbur said.
