Searchers in Daggett County on Sunday found a 9-year-old boy missing since about 5 p.m. Saturday.
Grayson Wynne was walking back from the Daggett Lake area with a large group of extended family members when he ran ahead and got separated, said Daggett County Sheriff's Office public information officer Karen Peterson.
The boy followed a creek bed, leaving behind a granola bar wrapper, muddy footprints and later a backpack for searchers to follow, she said. More than 100 people searched all night, and a group mounted on horses found the boy about 10 a.m. after he ran to a meadow to flag down a helicopter overhead.
