Posted: 6:42 PM- A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a TRAX train near the Sandy Expo Center stop around noon Saturday, police said.
The man was waiting for a southbound train to pass near 150 E. 9400 South, said Sandy Police Department Sgt. Justin Chapman. When the train passed, the man walked across the tracks with his bicycle before a crossing arm was raised. One of the man's bike tires then apparently got caught in the tracks and he was struck by a northbound train, Chapman said.
The man was transported to an area hospital. His name was not released.
